In 1999, Alexander returned to Washington for an exhibition at the Organization of American States. The event was well attended, with many distinguished guests in attendance, including Jamaican Ambassador Dr. Richard Bernal, his wife, Margaret Bernal, and other notable dignitaries. The OAS Assistant Secretary-General Ambassador Christopher Thomas welcomed Alexander and recognized the excellence and professionalism represented by the exhibition and how the contribution to the field of art was emblematic of the gifted Cooper. The exhibition was indeed a celebration of the excellence and professionalism of the artist.
